Current Sewickley Heights Borough Park Dog Rules and Regulations

Dear Dog Walkers,

In order to increase the level of safety for all park users, preserve the ecology of the park and enhance the experience of all park users, we ask that you abide by the following rules and regulations when visiting Sewickley Heights Borough Park.

State Dog Laws are Enforced in Sewickley Heights

Borough Park

Sewickley Heights Borough Police will be conducting routine patrols to the park.  The officers will be checking that all dogs are properly tagged with a current:

·       Allegheny County dog license

·       Rabies vaccination tag

Please remember to observe these Park Rules:

·        No more than two dogs per handler are permitted at one time.

·        Handlers must pick up after their dogs and dispose of waste properly

• Dogs must be on a leash or under control of the handler at all times.

• When any handler is approached by the Sewickley Heights Borough Police, they must furnish identification upon request (drivers license, vehicle owner’s card or name and phone number).  

Trail Etiquette

·         Dog walkers should yield to bikers and equestrians in a respectful and safe manner.
